So you’ve been painting the town a bit last night and when you wake up in the morning, you’re in no shape to get the proper wash-and-style routine going. Also you probably don’t have the time, waking up bleary eyed and late as you did.
So how do you make sure that you are able to cut out the smell of smoke, and alcohol and high flavoredfood from your hair before you face the day ahead? Here are some tips:
Take few drops of essential oil (lavender is a great fragrance, or you can pick one that you really like) and dilute this with as many drops of any base oil and apply this at the temples, behind the ears and dab on just a little bit on the very tips of your hair.
This will not only have your hair smelling great, it will also help to control some of the dry frizz. If you don’t want to undergo this process, just spray a fine mist of your favorite perfume into the air and then walk into the mist tousling your hair as you do so.
According to some hair care experts, giving your hair a blast with some cold air, by setting your hair dryer to cold, will help to open up the hair cuticle and release the trapped smells. So just blast on the cold setting and tousle the hair while you do so.
The dry shampoo trick
There are powder shampoos available, that act quickly and without water. They also act as deodorantsby absorbing smell and oil from the hair. Look for a product with Zeolite Crystallines which act as odor eaters and which can then be brushed out of the hair.
