In part 1 of this post we looked at some of the dos and don’ts of waxing and shaving the bikini area. Here we look at some of the other options for hair removal in the bikini area.
Laser Hair Removal
Laser hair removing technology is better today than ever before – it can work for a wide range of skin color and hair types and the results can be impressive, particularly the more pricey treatments performed at the more reputed salons and can work for removing hair in the bikini area as well.
Using a Hair Inhibitor
This is not really a hair removal product or procedure, rather it is a product that will help minimize the requirement to remove hair. A hair inhibitor slows down the rate of hair growth, so that one doesn’t have to shave or wax that often.
Soy and Capislow are the two ingredients that are known to be effective in slowing down hair growth by reducing the metabolic activity of the hair. They require to be applied twice daily for a month so that a person doesn’t have to shave or wax that often.
Avoiding ingrown hair in the Bikini area
They are painful, they are itchy and they are irritating. They are the little red bumps that appear on the skin when the hair is gowning out after hair removal – coiled and trapped beneath the skin, it has not fully emerged, causing irritation.
What can help is to use an exfoliator in the area to slough off the surface skin cells and free the hair to grow out.
