Nail Color Trends Fall 2012

When talking about accessories, the majority of the people are thinking about bags and shoes. However you should know that your manicure is also important. If you are looking for the latest trends keep in mind that the hottest colors for fall are the dark hues combined with the bright touches.

If you take a look at the runways, you can see that the latest trends include midnight blue and rich burgundy. In order to achieve the perfect look you should have short, square nails with rounded corners and apply two layers of lacquer. In the end apply a glossy top layer for a special effect.

Some of the models of the runways have been spotted having white nails, while in other cases they had white with a tint of marshmallow or rose. The biggest effect was achieved by Christian Cota. In this case the tips of the model’s nails were in terracotta color.

It is a well-known fact that French manicure never goes out of style. We have seen many different variations. In this season the look is a bit more subtle, but it is still dramatic. The secret is to keep the nail’s base muted, with putty or cream and have the tips black with silver or red.

At the show of Rachel Roy the nail artists used several different colors to get the right color. They layered Going Incognito and Licorice, both from Essie.

For this color to be achieved at the show of Wes Gordon, the nail artists opted for Eclectic Purple, Inkwell and Black Jack. In the end the artists applied a layer of Super Matter top.
