The Best Natural Remedies to Care for your Nails

Another natural product that can produce amazing results for your nail health is coconut oil.  To use this oil, you will need to mix ¼ cup of honey, ¼ cup of organic coconut oil and 4 drops of rosemary essential oil. Now warm this entire mixture in the microwave for about 20 seconds and then soak your nails inside it for about 15 minutes.  Do this about 1-2 times in a week and see the difference in your nail health.

Orange Juice

This may come as a surprise but orange juice can actually be good for the nail health and appearance. To use orange juice, take some fresh orange juice in a bowl and soak your nails in it. Keep your nails inside it for 10 minutes and then rinse with warm water.  Pat them dry and then apply a coat of moisturizer. You can use this remedy once a day until the difference starts showing.

Lemon Juice

Mixing about 1 tbsp. of lemon juice with 3 tbsp. of olive oil is another way to get gorgeous looking healthy nails.  What you need to do is to first warm this mixture in the microwave and then soak your nails in it for 10 minutes.  Following this remedy daily will help you achieve strong and healthy nails.


Horsetail has proved to be an effective herb for nail growth.  It is a source of not just some important minerals but also calcium and silica which are important for nails.  To use it, you will need to add about ¾ tsp of dried horsetail stems in 2 cups of boiling water and then steep this mixture for 15 minutes.

When you are done, strain the mixture and let it cool off. Soak your nails in this solution for 20 minutes and you will see a sudden change in their appearance.  Follow this treatment about 3-4 times a week for best results.
