Applying Makeup For A More Beautiful You

Applying makeup enhances your innate beauty. Feeling beautiful develops self confidence and makes the ordinary, extra ordinary.

Applying makeup and choosing your make up needs to be carefully considered for you to have a beautiful result.

In applying makeup, expensive does not necessarily mean great make up, here are some basic makeup tools you need for a beautiful you:

  • Foundation
  • Face powder
  • Concealers
  • Eye shadow
  • Eyeliners
  • Mascara
  • Blush
  • Lip gloss
  • Lip stick
  • Brushes for your eyes, lips and cheeks
  • Sponge for the foundation

Aside from these, in applying makeup you need to consider the brand that suits your skin type. Do not hesitate to ask the beauty consultant in your cosmetic store about the content of the product.

In applying makeup, the makeup should be properly organized to properly enhance your beauty.

1. Foundation

Select a foundation that matches your skin tone. When applying foundation, use small amount of foundation if your skin is clear.

Should you need more coverage, it is advised that you use a crème to powder foundation. Mature skin needs a heavier crème foundation and a powder finish may emphasize the lines in the face.

Most importantly, just use the right amount to prevent blotches and spots.

2. Concealers

In applying makeup, your concealer should be one shade lighter than your foundation. Concealers hide facial flaws like pimples, eye circles and dark skin tone. Dab the concealer before putting on your foundation.

3. Pressed Powder

Pressed or loose powder keeps the foundation and concealer intact longer, it is also perfect for a retouch. It is definitely a practical tool in applying makeup on the go.

4. Eye Makeup

A powdered eyebrow instead of a pencil is much preferred. Apply it in your brows using a hard and slanted brush.

The three different shades of eye shadow can be used. The dark shade can be used in the upper eyelid and along the upper lashes. The medium shade is best for the crease and the light shade is meant under your eyebrow.

Your eyeliner should only be applied in the outer two thirds of your lower lid, for a darker look, you can apply it across. You can also apply it across your upper lid closest to your eye lashes.

Your mascara should also compliment your skin tone. Apply it in your upper and lower lashes. Colored mascara is simply for fun and is not meant for business and formal affairs.

5. Cheeks

In applying makeup for your cheeks, smile broadly to find your cheekbone. Apply your blush in the cheekbone or below. Avoid a brightly colored cheek blush.

6. Lipsticks and Lip liners

Again, in applying lipsticks and lip liners, it is essential to choose a color which is complementary to your skin tone. You should also match up the color of your lipstick and lip liner for a classier look. You can always mix the colors to suit your moods and your get-up.

Apply the lipstick first, before your lip liner so that you will not end up with a darker circle of lips when the lipstick has worn off.

It is highly advisable in applying makeup that you should also ensure the cleanliness of your makeup tools to avoid bacteria and its corresponding infections. Also, avoid sharing your makeup tools with others for hygienic reason.
