We have discussed earlier that topical creams, lotions and serums that claim to give younger looking skin have limited efficacy, but that they do tend to good health for your skin.
So what are the things that you should be looking out for in your anti wrinkle cream or lotion that will give you the best value for your money?
The one factor that is most responsible for aging, drying and deterioration of the facial skin is the natural elements. The direct rays of the sun contain harmful ultra violet rays which cause damage and aging and the appearance of lines.
A high sun protection factor (SPF) is an important constituent in your anti wrinkle cream since it will slow down the process of aging rather than reduce already present wrinkles.
Active ingredients to look out for
When you decide to buy an anti aging product, be sure to read the list of ingredients. There are certain ingredients that do tend to be beneficial in reducing certain signs of aging in the skin.
If the list of ingredients includes terms like ‘Retinol’, ‘Hydroxy acids’, ‘coenzynme Q10’, ‘copper peptides’, ‘kinetin’ and / or tea extracts then you can be reasonably sure that you are on to a good thing! If the product has one or more of these active ingredients, then you can be reasonably sure that the product itself will be beneficial to you.
