As surprising as it may seem the skin color is the secret of beautiful looking skin. It is not easy to achieve a naturally healthy and even toned skin. It is even more difficult to maintain the healthy skin tone. You should know that it requires plenty of care and a little work to obtain that even tone we see on celebrities.
What most people don’t know is that healthy skin and healthy looking skin are completely different matters. There are hordes of Over-the-counter products available that claim to give radiant and healthy looking skin. Still the basics to a healthy skin include cleansing, toning and moisturizing.
Use a natural soap to cleanse your face. A natural soap has no artificial oils, dyes or fragrance. Natural soap uses beeswax, coconut oil or olive oil instead ofmineral oil, sodium lauryl or petroleum products. Use warm water to wet your skin and lather the soap in your hands, before applying it on the skin. Do not rub aggressively. Rinse thoroughly with warm water. Repeat twice a day for a healthy skin color.
Lemon juice is a natural source of Vitamin C that accelerates the removal of dead skin, giving fresh skin a better chance to shine. It helps to bring out the natural color of the skin. After cleansing the skin, spray it liberally with lemon juice. Let the juice dry naturally on the skin or rinse with water after 10 minutes. Repeat twice daily for beautiful skin.
Use an oil-free facial moisturizer to keep the skin well hydrated. Apply gently and spread gently until it is absorbed completely into the skin. Do not rub it into the skin. Repeat twice for an even skin tone.
Exfoliation and hydration
Exfoliation helps remove the dead skin cells present on the surface of the skin. For this purpose, you can use scrubs, peeling, micro-derma abrasion and other OTC products to bring out the fresh skin. Fresh skin is essential for skin tone care. Moisturize your face to help create the perfect base for a healthy looking skin. A well-moisturized face is perfect for applying of a foundation. Use a primer or a moisturizer with 15 SPF for a smooth even skin tone.
Use a tinted moisturizer or a foundation evenly on the face. The tinted moisturizer has a sheer look creating a more natural look. Choose a shade closest to the natural color of the skin.
Cover up and conceal
Use a creamy concealer to cover up under eyes, red spots and blemishes. Apply as dots and pat it in, do not rub it in. Use a lid base on your eyelids to create an even skin color.
A little color
Once you have achieved an even skin color, add some blush to make it look natural. Use a creamy blush, a bronzer, or a combination of both to bring in color on the nose, cheekbones and forehead. Silky , powder blushes are perfect for the cheeks but you must be careful not to overdo your look.
