There are three distinctive layers of the skin, namely the dermis (middle layer), epidermis (outer layer), and subcutaneous or hypodermic (innermost layer). Stretch marks occur on the dermis layer of the skin; it’s formed because the connective tissues get stretched beyond its capacity of being flexible when the skin contracts or expands rapidly.

Castor Oil

Wrinkles, dark spots, moles, pimples and fine lines are some other issues that castor oil can cure. Apply castor oil everyday on the stretch marks and gently massage until it gets absorbed. Then take a thin cotton cloth and cover the stretch mark area, put the heating pad above the cloth and leave for 30 minutes. This process has to be continued for at least one month to notice positive results.

sugarTo get rid of stretch marks, apply the natural white sugar and exfoliate your skin at its best. Take a tablespoon of raw sugar and add 5 drops of almond oil and lemon juice. Lemon Juice

Rub fresh lemon juice into the skin in circular motions and let it penetrate in the layers for at least 10 minutes. Wash off with warm water once dried. You can also make a mixture of lemon juice and cucumber juice to treat stretch marks.

Potato Juice

The minerals and vitamins in potato juice aids in the regeneration of skin cells, thus it’s effective in reducing the stretch marks. Take few thick slices of potatoes and rub it gently on the stretch marks for a few minutes, then wash it off with lukewarm water. Make sure that you cover all the stretch marks while rubbing.

There are many more natural ways to treat stretch marks; you can use alfalfa leaves as they have amino acids, protein, vitamin K and E that help in nourishing the skin. Making a paste of these leaves with chamomile oil and applying them on the marks give fruitful results. Cocoa butter also fades out these marks within few weeks.
